Do You Need A UV Flatbed Printer?

UV flatbed printer

UV flatbed printer is also known as universal flatbed printer or flatbed printer. It breaks through the bottleneck of digital printing technology and realizes real one-page printing. We design and manufactured it originally mainly for printing on hard materials. It breaks through the limitation that inkjet technology can only print on soft materials. And is a major breakthrough in the history of inkjet technology. It also marks the birth of the era of inkjet technology entering many fields.

We cannot consider it as an addition to the existing wide-format imaging market. But position it as a cheaper alternative to the short-run screen printing market. For large-format images for short-term applications, the traditional screen printing method requires high costs.

Core advantages

The core of the UV universal printer is UV light curing technology, which is a new technology in the green industry and fully demonstrates the characteristics of this technology. UV curing can achieve complete curing within seconds, with higher production efficiency and energy saving. The UV flatbed printer adopts the latest LED technology, the power is only 80W, energy saving and environmental protection, no preheating, and no heat radiation. It can also ensure that the printing material is not deformed, the LED lamp has a long life, waterproof and UV-proof, and the use and maintenance cost is extremely low. The products printed by UV printers not only have high color saturation but also have good color effects.

It is very helpful to strengthen the high-quality image of the product. They are drying immediately while printing, which can greatly improve production efficiency. Since there is no need to wait for ink drying time, so it can greatly reduce the production time. Printing companies can also save a lot of space for storing dry prints, which is very helpful for cost savings. While it dries immediately during printing, there is no need to use powder spraying. When it dries immediately during printing, it may not have color changes within 48 hours of printing like traditional lithographic printing. The light resistance and abrasion resistance of the print are better. It is more friendly to the environment and produces no harmful gas. The printed product has a concave-convex feel and has a curing function.

Widely used

We can use UV flatbed printers to print many materials. We can not only print on flat products with UV printers but also on cylindrical products. For example, there are PVC, reflective film, canvas, carpet, and leather, and can also print on T-shirts, sliding doors, cabinet doors, sliding doors, glass, plates, various signs, crystals, and other materials. UV printers are suitable for many types of printed materials with completely different physical and chemical properties, including paper, cardboard, plastic, cerulean, PVC, PE, etc. paper, and film. This feature can print more types of products than traditional lithographic printing, and has a broader market future.

Print head maintenance

The nozzles of the UV flatbed printer need to be cleaned well. We require doing preparatory work before cleaning. The rear compartment where the nozzles of the print head of the universal printer are located also includes a nozzle-driving circuit board. Therefore, it is necessary to do a good job of protecting the drive circuit board and wrapping the second half of the warehouse with the usual plastic wrap. The first step is to soak, prepare a small flat plate, and place the nozzle flat on the plate. Then pour the universal printer’s special cleaning solution into the plate, the depth is based on just submerging the nozzle part. Be careful not to splash water on the cable plug and driver board, the first wet time is about one hour.

The second step is cleaning. First, use a damp cloth to gently absorb the water stains on the nozzle. Do not wipe the nozzle at the bottom of the nozzle. Repeat the process to clean all print heads. We should use a new clean cloth to wipe each applicator.  If something nozzles the clogged, heat the distilled water slightly and put a small amount on the plate.  Then stand the nozzle upright in warm water.

  1. I found it interesting when you said that canvases and leathers could also be printed using UV flatbed printers. My uncle mentioned to me last night about starting a printing business. He asked if I had any idea where he could buy the right flatbed printer for them to implement efficient printing production. I appreciate this helpful article. I’ll tell him we can consult a trusted flatbed printer company as they can provide more information.
