After the holiday, the first step in resuming operation is not to turn on the Pet Film Transfer Printer, but to verify the safety of the environment and the condition of the device. Immediately connecting the power supply may cause serious problems such as short circuits and burnout of the motherboard. Please ensure that the following checks are completed before reconnecting the power supply.

1. Environmental and Safety Inspection
Environmental Conditions:
Temperature: 15–35°C; Humidity: 40%–60%. Ensure the environment is free of condensation, static electricity, and humidity. If the device is stored in a closed warehouse or basement, ventilate and dehumidify the machine in advance.
Exterior Cleaning:
Use a dust-free cloth to wipe dust from the printer body, control panel, and guide rails. Inspect the print platform, paper inlet, and paper outlet for foreign objects, residual ink, or paper scraps.
2. Printhead and DTF transfer Ink Path Inspection
Extended downtime can cause ink sedimentation and nozzle drying. Before resuming operation, it is important to inspect the printhead condition:
Printhead Surface Inspection:
Observe the bottom of the printhead for cracks, ink clots, or residual stains. If there is sediment, gently wipe it with a dedicated cleaning solution and a dust-free cloth. Never use alcohol!
Ink System Check:
Open the ink cartridge and confirm that the ink is sufficient and free of bubbles and crystals. Check the ink tubes for bubbles or backflow. If air is present, perform a degassing operation. If using white ink, shake thoroughly before refilling.
Filter and Waste Ink Bottle Check:
Check the filter for clogged or expired ink (usually replaced every 2–3 months). Empty the waste ink bottle to prevent spillage and contamination around the printhead.
3. Electrical System and Moving Parts
Power Supply and Wiring Check:
Check the power cord, ribbon cables, and connectors for looseness, deterioration, or wear. Ensure proper grounding to prevent electrostatic discharge from damaging the motherboard.
Drive and Guide Rails:
Check the rails for dryness and bearings. Apply a small amount of guide rail lubricant and allow the carriage to move back and forth several times to ensure smooth operation without any noise.
Belt and Encoder Check:
Check the belt tension and check for dust or ink spots on the encoder strip. If contamination is present, wipe clean with a non-woven cloth dampened with purified water.

4. Power-On and Functional Test
Only after confirming that all of the above checks have passed can you connect the power supply.
Normal Power-On:
Press the power button and observe whether the DTF printer with powder machine performs normal self-tests. If an alarm or error code sounds, immediately disconnect the power supply and troubleshoot. Do not force printing.
Nozzle Test and Cleaning:
Perform a light cleaning step and then print a nozzle check strip. If there are broken lines or missing colors, repeat the light cleaning step or perform a medium cleaning step. If the nozzles still do not clog, the clog is severe and may require a deep cleaning or manual maintenance.
Print Test:
Print a standard test pattern to confirm that color, paper feed, and registration are normal. If there is a significant color difference, reload the ICC color curve and print again.
Common Issues Reminders for Returning to Work:
When returning to work after the holiday, the most important thing is to “check first, then power on, then print.” If your printhead is clogged, has bubbles in the ink path, or has color cast, be sure to contact a professional for specialized cleaning fluids, moisturizers, and printhead maintenance instructions to quickly restore your device to optimal condition!
