In modern printing technology, the quality and storage status of Roll UV Printing Ink directly affect the printing effect and the life of the equipment. Proper ink storage is a key link to ensure printing quality and efficiency. Many users often ignore the details of ink storage during use, resulting in poor printing results or even equipment damage. This article will give you a detailed introduction on how to properly store ink to help you extend the life of the ink and improve the printing quality.

Storage in a dark environment
UV ink is very sensitive to light, especially ultraviolet rays, and is easily solidified by chemical reactions under light. Therefore, when storing, choose a cool, backlit environment to avoid direct sunlight. The ink is best stored in a black opaque container and packaged in cartons or other light-shielding materials.
Sealed storage
UV DTF printing ink is volatile. Unused or temporarily unused ink should be sealed and stored, and the bottle cap should be tightened to prevent dust and debris in the air from entering. This not only prevents ink from volatilizing, but also prevents the nozzle from being blocked due to impurities.
Control the storage environment
Temperature: The ideal storage temperature for UV ink is 16°C to 28°C, avoiding high or low temperature environments. In winter, special attention should be paid to heat preservation to prevent the ink from condensing at low temperatures.
Humidity: The humidity of the storage environment should be controlled between 55% and 65% to avoid excessive humidity causing ink deterioration.
Ventilation: Keeping the storage environment well ventilated helps regulate humidity and prevent the ink from being too thick or diluted.

Safe storage of a UV roll-to-roll printer
The ink should be kept away from fire and heat sources to avoid accidents. Besides, the storage location should be selected inside the warehouse and avoid being placed in a conspicuous position to prevent non-staff from accidentally touching it. On the other hand, the ink bottles should be kept 3-5 cm apart to avoid collisions.
Follow the “first in, first out” principle
When managing UV ink, the “first in, first out” principle should be followed; That is, the ink purchased first should be used first to avoid affecting performance due to long storage time. Besides, the shelf life of UV ink is generally 12 months. And the ink should be used as soon as possible after opening.
