What are Considerations for the Heat Transfer Printing Process?

Transfer printing: Through a single process (heating and pressing) using a heat transfer machine, the exquisite pattern on the transfer film is transferred to the product surface. After molding, the ink layer integrates with the product surface, resulting in a realistic and beautiful finish, greatly enhancing the product packaging quality.

Characteristics of heat transfer :

Precautions for heat transfer film transfer

Heat press printing is actually hot stamping, a special printing process with a very simple working principle. However, in actual production, to improve the quality of heat transfer on the product surface and increase production efficiency, the following points should note:

1. Maintain a clean working environment and equipment

The machine’s workbench must be kept clean and free of oil stains. On the other hand, the transfer film must keep clean, free of oil stains, fingerprints, dust, and other impurities.

2. Control of heat press (hot stamping) temperature

The heat press temperature should vary depending on the transfer equipment and the temperature of the heat press film. Besides,  it’s not a matter of higher or lower temperature being better; The transfer temperature should  determine based on the effect after transfer in actual production.

      3.  Heat transfer pressure

The heat press pressure must be adjusted to the most appropriate level. Too much pressure can damage the film and the product, while too little pressure affects the adhesion of the heat press film. After adjusting to the optimal heat press pressure, the pressure adjustment should lock to prevent changes during mass production.

4. Hot stamping time (speed)

The heat press time (speed) should be determined according to the specific circumstances of production. While ensuring the adhesion of the heat transfer film, the faster the speed, the higher the production efficiency.
